Stevenson CERT

Stevenson CERT

CERT volunteers properly use a fire extinguisher to put out a fire during the "disaster" exercise.

Remember "PASS"
Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep!

A CERT volunteer conducts Triage on a "victim," who is made up with moulage (medical make-up) for realism.

1 minute per patient; check RPM.
Respiration, Pulse, Mentation.

A volunteer from Wind River SAR presents a serious injury during the exercise.

How would this patient be triaged? Green, Yellow, Red or Black?

Another "victim" appears to have glass embedded in her face.

Such "injuries" offer a chance for CERT students to put their training to use.

EMS demonstrates loading a "patient" into the ambulance for transport.

The CERT program trains citizens to assist First Responders during emergencies and disasters.
